Terence Newman (born September 4, 1978) is a starting American football cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League. He played in the 2008 pro-bowl and has 23 interceptions in his career.

Newman's college football career was at Kansas State University from 1998 – 2002, competing from 1999 – 2002, under legendary head coach Bill Snyder. At Kansas State he received Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's best defensive back before being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys fifth overall in the 2003 NFL Draft. He also ran track, winning the Big 12 Conference 100 meter dash outdoor competition in 2001 and 2002, with times of 10.29 and 10.34, respectively, the Big 12 Conference 60 meter dash in indoor competition with a time of 6.65, and was recognized as the Big 12 Conference indoor co-performer of the year in 2002.
