FS #146, FSV 134. Yes, the colors are red and white for ULouisiana's school, but I consider orange to be better because the logo sticks out. It used to be the main school for the University of Louisiana system, but to avoid confusion with UL-Monroe, its placename is added; the university used to be called University of Southern Louisiana. Now just to be clear, this is not the fight song of Lafayette College of Pennsylvania. The fight song somehow grows on you because it sounds like the song is meant to give the heebie-jeebies to anyone not attending the school-especially if you are in a Sun Belt Conference school! Hope you like, subscribe, and remember the rules....

troytrojans.com By: Ricky Hazel The new-look Troy Baseball team will take to the turf at Riddle-Pace Field to open the 2011 season on Friday night, opening a four-game weekend series against High Point. The first pitch on Friday is set for 6 pm Saturday's double-header is scheduled for a 1 pm start and Sunday's series finale will also start at 1 pm The Trojans return just three position starters from the 2010 squad, but have bolstered the lineup with new faces. Many of those new players will get an opportunity to see their first action during the series against High Point. "I think all of the players, returning and new, are ready to play," Trojans coach Bobby Pierce said. "It has been a long time to practice without the chance to compete against outside competition. We are ready to play and we need to play. "I am very thankful that we have a four game series so that we can see more of our pitching. Our starting pitchers will be on a strict pitch count, which means more guys will get an opportunity and I look forward to seeing those guys get out there this weekend. We will probably see 12-14 position players get an opportunity to play as well." Pierce, who is entering his ninth season with the Troy program, said there will be a lot of evaluating done both during and after the opening weekend of play. "When the series is over, we'll see where we need to go from there to improve," Pierce said. "We have had great weather and are hoping for a great opening night crowd ...

This week the Sun Belt conference decided to bestow a pair of awards to Trojan football players. Corey Robinson picked up yet another offensive player of the week award for his performance against Middle Tennessee. But picking up the defensive honors is a player who hadn't seen much playing time early in the season but now is making his presence felt on the field.

This is a TV spot created for the Sun Belt Conference. Rising Creek Pictures created the tagline Everything Is Possible for the campaign. Last year Western Kentucky University of the Sun Belt advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16. The message for each school in the league and their fans is that it's possible to do it again ... and more.

The Troy Trojans took on the Red Wolves of Arkansas State in their conference opener on September 25, 2010. In the game, senior wide receiver had an amazing performance and despite an almost two hour rain delay helped the Trojans pull a come from behind win. This is a tribute to the Eufala native.

This university is located in Jonesboro and is in the Sun Belt Conference. Yes, I had to indicate in parentheses for some that are INDIAN faithful, the fight song words, school nickname and logo were changed nearly a half decade ago so the university will follow the NCAA rules. (PLEASE, NO COMMENTS ABOUT THIS-JUST LIKE PROFANE AND DEROGATORY COMMENTS I CITE, THEY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DELETED.) I could find a better fight song, but this is the best I can do with the updated words. In the case of the song, to my opinion, I like the change and the song, but the spell can be a bit better. For the final part, after singing again, if you do mess up, I have indicated how you are supposed to spell RED WOLVES at the end. This is FS# 160, and FSV# 148.
