Steffen Rasmussen (born 30 September 1982 in Stenvad) is a Danish professional football goalkeeper who currently plays for Danish Superliga team AGF Aarhus. He played his youth football in the two minor clubs Stenvad B and Grenå IF before moving to AGF in 2001.
Despite his lack of height, he has established himself as the number one goalkeeper at the club after his debut against Odense Boldklub on 10 November 2002. Whereas Steffen Rasmussens has always been excellent in one-on-one situations, where his quick reactions are useful, he has often been scolded by fans for not commanding his field on especially corner kicks and free kicks. However, he has improved this part of his game significantly, and was voted as best player of 07/08. Before the season 2008/9, Rasmussen was named captain of the team by AGF's former coach Ove Pedersen replacing Peter Graulund. The Danish national team's coach, Morten Olsen, said before the World Cup qualification games against Portugal and Albania in September 2009 that he had considered including Rasmussen in the squad, but chose Kim Christensen from IFK Göteborg instead.
