Sriwijaya Football Club, which is commonly referred to simply as Sriwijaya, is an Indonesian football club based in Palembang, Province of South Sumatra, Indonesia. They are now playing in Indonesia Super League.

Although being a football representative from the Province of South Sumatra, Sriwijaya was actually founded in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, as Persijatim in 1976. Because of some financial reasons, the club decided to move to Solo City and become Solo Football Club. The financial condition, however, did not improve until the Province of South Sumatra bought the ownership of the team and renamed the team Sriwijaya Football Club.

The visitors looked on course from a comfortable win as Jung Jo-gook opened the scoring in the first-half before Kim Chi-woo added a second-half double at Jaka Baring Stadium. The home side hit back courtesy of a quickfire brace from Cameroonian Claude Ngon Djam but Sriwijaya failed to complete the thrilling comeback and substitute Kim Seung-yong sealed the win for the visitors. The match started badly for Sriwijaya as they lost reserve goalkeeper Afriyanto, who was starting in place of Indonesia international Ferry Rotinsulu, after he collided with defender Ambrizal and he was replaced by Dede Sulaiman with just eight minutes gone. He was forced into action three minutes later as he denied Kim Chi-woo before Kim Sung-yueng fired over midway through the half following good work from Lee Chung-yong. The Sriwijaya goalkeeper almost handed Seoul a second as he rushed from his goal to clear and the ball fell to Lee Chung-yongs feet but fortunately his effort went wide. But 14 minutes before the break Seoul opened the scoring as Jung produced a cool finish from inside the area following a penetrating run and pass from Serbian Dejan Damjanovic.
