The Roland MC-909 groovebox combines the features of a synthesizer, sequencer, and sampler. It was released by Roland Corporation on October 8, 2002. This product was announced at the AES Fall Convention in 2002. It is the successor to the Roland MC-303, Roland MC-307 and Roland MC-505, and is the predecessor to the Roland MC-808.

MC-909 & KP3 Live Deep-Techno/House Music. All patterns, sounds and sequences are created using the Roland MC 909. The effects used come from both the 909 and the Korg Kaoss pad 3 and then the output is recorded Live into my computer via Apple Logic Studio 8 for extra compression. This is me jamming on my new Roland MC-909. I reproduced the melodies from the great (old) track from Sven van Hees, Emotional Rehabilitation. The band-pass filtering sounds very similar i think. Don't expect too much of it.. it's not much more than some jammin' ;-)

So...Here's the Roland TB-303 we are currently preparing to put on the market. 1/2 way through I stop the sequence and edit the pattern slightly. And then it's instant acid once again. Disregard the MC-202, I had big plans to post a video the 2 squawking together but things sounded too cluttered with 2 busy patterns. Check my other videos for a 202 clip. 4.13 min. | 4.13 user rating		 Hi Folks, Its been a while since my last live session so I thought that I'd better get one up and this time instead of the Roland MC-909 I am using the Machinedrum & Virus. So here we have a Minimal Techno House track, live improv produced by Ben Link using Elektron Machinedrum SPS-1 MK2, Access Virus C, Korg Micro Kontrol, Korg Kaoss Pad 3 and Logic Studio Pro 8. This was the second recorded take and is a little rough around the edges but when considering that, I was quite happy with the end result. The Machinedrum is used for the drums and is sequencing itself, Logic Studio Pro is used for recording and sequencing the Virus C (controlled via micro kontrol) and for sending out the midi clock to both units. The KP3 is used for the effects and is on a send. PS My friend rang and almost messed my live session up. See if you can spot my phone in the first half of the track. HA HA.......
