Reynosa is a city in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. It is located across the Rio Grande (Río Bravo) from McAllen in Hidalgo County in the U.S. state of Texas. As of 2010, the city of Reynosa counts with a population of 607,532. If its floating population is included in the census count, however, the population can reach up to approximately 1,000,000 habitants. The city and the municipality of Reynosa are the most populated in the state of Tamaulipas. In each case, they are followed by Matamoros, Nuevo Laredo, Victoria, Tampico, and Madero, in that order.
