The Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier) is the flagship league that was started in 1997. Having just completed its 12th year, PASL-Premier is the largest International indoor/arena soccer league in the world. PASL-Premier currently has 31 Premier teams in 6 divisions across the USA. The PASL-Premier is an amateur development league. PASL-Premier is the official developmental league of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro).

Teams play in regional competition to keep travel costs to a minimum. The champion of each region will then compete in an International final.

PASL-Premier currently runs a winter and summer league. The winter league starts the 1st weekend in December and ends the 3rd weekend in March. The summer league runs from the 1st weekend in May through the 3rd weekend in July.

PASL-Premier is an affiliated member of the FIFRA (Federation International Futbal Rapido Association).

On Saturday, August 7th, 2010, Shakhtar Donetsk played against Sevastopol in their fifth game of the season, and produced their biggest ever recorded win at the Donbass Arena, winning 5-0. This victory put them top of the Ukrainian Premier League. Eduardo da Silva, in his first ever game playing for Shakhtar after moving from Arsenal FC in England, scored the club's second goal in the 42nd minute, heading in a Jadson free kick from the left. He was substituted at half-time. Admittedly, it looked like it took a slight deflection off the defender on its way in, but there is no denying that it is Eduardo's goal after he got his head on it and guided it towards the goal. Speaking to journalists after the game, Eduardo said: "It was my first official game in the team, new stadium, new fans -- to put it short, everything new, and I was a little nervous, but felt quite well. Certainly, I feel a fatigue, however, I am content how I spent the first half." On his lack of celebration after scoring his first Shakhtar goal: "I prefer not to be so much excited, after scoring the first goal. However, it does not mean, that I am not glad actually. I am very thankful to the team's assistance and promise to be more emotional next time, after hammering the second and third goals." Here's hoping that Shakhtar's number 11 goes on to score many more great goals for the team!

Fernando José Torres Sanz nicknamed El Niño (The Kid in Spanish) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Chelsea and the Spain national team as a striker. Torres started his career with Atlético Madrid, progressing through their youth system to the first team squad. He made his first team debut in 2001 and finished his career with the club having scored 75 goals in 174 La Liga appearances. Prior to his La Liga debut, Torres played two seasons in the Segunda División, making 40 appearances and scoring seven goals. He joined Premier League club Liverpool in 2007 after signing for a club record transfer fee. He marked his first season at Anfield by being Liverpool's first player, since Robbie Fowler in the 1995--96 season, to score more than 20 league goals in a season. Torres became the fastest player in Liverpool history to score 50 league goals after scoring against Aston Villa in December 2009. He left the club in January 2011 to join Chelsea for a record British transfer fee of £50 million, which also made him the most expensive Spanish player in history.
