Parker County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. In 2000, its population was 88,495; in 2005, its population was estimated to be 102,801. The county is part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Parker County is named for Isaac Parker, a state legislator who introduced the bill that established the county in 1855. The seat of the county is Weatherford.
The 1932 Republican gubernatorial nominee, Orville Bullington, was reared in Parker County.
