Mugabe's opponents describe the bank's activities as a 'disgrace' and an 'insult' to the millions who have suffered human rights abuses. Barclays is the most high-profile of three British-based financial institutions, which, in total, have provided more than $1bn in direct and indirect funding to Mugabe's administration. The other two companies are Standard Chartered Bank and the insurance firm Old Mutual. According to influential newsletter Africa Confidential, that first disclosed the Barclays' loans, the British organisations provide an economic lifeline keeping Mugabe's regime afloat. A spokesman for Zimbabwe's main opposition party, the Movement for Democratic Change, likened the bank's actions to its support of South Africa's apartheid regime and urged a boycott. (c)1995 NFL/NBC Universal The 1995 NFL on NBC pregame show for Week 5 of the 1995 season (repeat of sorts, in that unlike previous uploads; this includes commercials and is the ENTIRE pregame show). The big games for Week 5 were what was dubbed Shula Bowl II (Don's Dolphins; who at 4-0 were the lone undefeated team left in the AFC coming in; vs. Dave's Bengals). The other major game NBC was promoting was the late game between the defending AFC champion San Diego Chargers vs. the slumping Pittsburgh Steelers in a rematch of the previous season's AFC title matchup. Hosting are Greg Gumbel, Mike Ditka and Joe Gibbs (no Montana this time) with Ahmad Rashad joining later. The first story is a report on the Dolphins by Bob Trumpy and Tom Hammond; followed by a piece on the "human interest"/father-son angle with both Don and Dave being interviewed. This is followed by Ahmad introducing a piece on the Patriots/Falcons game where Boston Globe sportswriter/New England Patriots game sideline reporter Will McDonough along with Marv Albert and Cris Collinsworth discuss the main story of that game (Scott Zolak replacing injured Drew Bledsoe; who still had an outside shot at playing), followed by a tease with an interview with Pittsburgh's Bill Cowher. Commercials are for: GTE (man rushing back and forth to store to buy some snacks for his pregnant wife); a local Lennox Heating and Air Conditioning spot, Northwestern Mutual Life (the Quiet Company) and Old Spice.

(c)1995 NFL; NBC Universal Part 2 of the NFL on NBC pregame show for Week 8 of the 1995 season. This part begins with a break including Northwestern Mutual Life (the quiet company), Old Spice, American Express and Amoco Ultimate Gas. After plugging the doubleheader games, Greg Gumbel then goes to the story of the first half of the 1995 NFL season (much like this season); crappy officiating. The debate then turns to whether bringing back instant replay is the answer with a report by Patriots sideline reporter/News and Notes reporter Will McDonough mentioning those opinions. Will returns to report on the Cowboys being caught $1.4 million over the salary cap, Michael Irvin getting fined for a headslap, and Deion Sanders working on offense. Then another break featuring Subway, New York Life, Duracell (those commercials creeped me out when I was younger), Head and Shoulders (former sponsor of NBC's postgame show). Then the Honda Pick of the Week; where the coaches (Gibbs and Ditka) were the only winners. Following is the ad for the 1996 Honda Civic. The guys make their picks and finally a get-well-soon greeting for Buffalo Bills coach Marv Levy; who had just been released from the hospital after undergoing successful surgery to combat prostate cancer.

The English translation used in this clip is the Old Classical English Pickthall Translation. Marmaduke Pickthall was an English convert to Islam, his famous (Pickthall) English translation of the Quran is over 70 years Old. The reason why it became so popular was due to Pickthall's ability in trying to capture the poetic nature of the Quran into English. A brief overview of his contributions: (Mohammed) Marmaduke Pickthall (April 7, 1875 -- May 19, 1936) was a Western Islamic scholar, noted as a poetic translator of the Qur'an into English. A convert from Christianity to Islam, Pickthall was a novelist, esteemed by DH Lawrence, HG Wells, and EM Forster, as well as a journalist, headmaster, and political and religious leader. He declared his Islam in dramatic fashion after delivering a talk on 'Islam and Progress' on November 29, 1917, to the Muslim Literary Society in Notting Hill, West London.
