Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut ( ) is a city in the Center District of Israel, it is located roughly halfway between Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv. It was formed in 2003 by the merger of Modi'in and Maccabim-Re'ut in 2003. According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics the city's 2009 population was 73,000.

Modi'in, and the Modi'in Illit settlement block which is 3 kilometers to the north east consisting of, Modi'in Illit, Kfar Ruth, Kfar HaOranim, Lapid, Hashmonaim and Matityahu (Population: 53,000), as well as towns to the west of Modi'in within theGreen Line (pop: 5,000), and to the south in the Latrun (pop: 1,300) are all part of an area known as the Modi'in Valley, with an unofficial metropolitan area population of over 130,000, that is officially within the eastern influence region of the Gush Dan.

According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics, the City is rated at level 8 out of 10 on the scale of socio-economic development, with a high proportion of high school graduation, 76.5% (2006 � 07), and an average monthly income of 9,659 NIS, compared to a national average of 7,466 (2006).
