Mihails Zemļinskis (born 21 December 1969) is a former Latvian football player. Born in Riga, he didn't play for a club other than Skonto FC except for two short spells in Hungary and Israel. Zemļinskis was a very trustful and skilled defender and he was one of the few players who have been playing for the Latvian national team since the country gained its independence in 1991/92 (another player is the captain Vitālijs Astafjevs). He played 105 matches and scored 12 goals for the national team, and took part at the European Championships 2004 in Portugal. Zemļinskis wore the jersey number 4. Zemļinskis learned how to work his way up the echelons of becoming a football coach at FC Daugava. He is currently the head coach of Latvia U-21.
