Bernardo Manuel Sol Sañudo (born August 31, 1973 in Ciudad de México) is a former

Mexican football player who last played for Chivas de Guadalajara. Sol has been a vital part in the midfield of Guadalajara, and is in important piece in the team. Even though Manuel Sol did not fit in Manuel "Chepo" de la Torre's plan, who wanted new, young, and fast players so Chivas could be a strongteam to beat on the pitch, He was still among one of the fans favorite. This was noticed when Chivas played Veracruz in the Apertura 2006 repechaje in which when he came on as a secong half sub he was given a standing ovation that the commentators could not be heard. After the Clausura 2007 Manuel Sol announced his retirement and will be remembered for his infammous long distance shots and always playing his heart out for every match.

He represented Mexico at the 1996 Summer Olympics and the 1996 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
