It puts Nick and Alex so much into character. ------------------------------- Chapter 45: When The World Comes Crashing Down Alex had tears in her eyes when we were done singing, and mascara was running down her cheeks. She dried a single tear, pulled the hood up, and walked off the stage. She grabbed her bag on the floor, and stormed out of the auditorium. I knew what I had to do, I had to chase after her, but my feet wouldn't move. "Go after her!" Percy hissed at me. I would have given him the death glare, but he was right, I had to go after her -- and fast. I ran all I could until I caught up with Alex in the parking lot, I could hear sobs even though the pouring October rain made it very hard. I putted my hand on Alex' shoulder, she jerked around and looked at me with those passionate brown eyes. "Alex what's wrong?" I tried to hug her but she shook her head. "I'm leaving." "What do you mean leaving? Where to?" "Last year I got a letter from La Sorbonne saying that I had gotten a full scholarship to go study there. I've decided to go." It felt like someone just punched a fist through my chest, I felt my heart crack over, my throat was burning, and I felt warm tears form in my eyes. "N.. No. You can't just leave, we're not even halfway through the year. This year was supposed to be the best of our lives. The Nick and Alex show." She sighed while a tear ran down her cheek again.
