Loris Capirossi (born April 4, 1973 in Castel San Pietro Terme, Bologna) is an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle road racer, who currently rides for the Pramac Ducati MotoGP team. He is a former 250cc World Champion for Aprilia; Capirossi made his 300th start at the 2010 season-opening Qatar Grand Prix.

2.30 min. | 4.36 user rating		 Loris Capirossi nasce a Castel S. Pietro Terme il 4 Aprile 1973. Nella sua lunga carriera ha disputato 233 Gran Premi, vincendone 27 e andando sul podio ben 88 volte. Dopo alcuni provini, la Honda decide di iscriverlo nel campionato monomarca del 1987. Un anno dopo, con la stessa mansione, passa alla Gilera (che lo aveva ottenuto in prestito dalla scuderia giapponese), mentre nel 1989 si laurea campione nazionale di motociclismo. Nonostante la minore età, egli decide d'accordo con la famiglia di fare il grande passo nel motomondiale. Il primo titolo iridato di Capirossi è un risultato davvero straordinario. All'inizio della stagione 1990 ha appena 16 anni, e fa il suo debutto nei GP come seconda guida e compagno di squadra dell'ex Campione del Mondo Fausto Gresini. Comincia la stagione da apprendista senza però farsi intimorire dagli esperti concorrenti, sale sul podio per la prima volta a Misano in maggio, vince la prima gara a Donington Park in agosto e conquista poi il titolo di campione del Mondo in Australia. Con la tabella numero uno sulla sua Honda RS125, nel 1991, Capirossi è per tutti l'uomo da battere: resiste alla pressione e vince cinque volte, aggiudicandosi il suo secondo titolo. Nel 1995 qualcuno avanza dei dubbi in merito al passaggio del giovane pilota dalla 250 alla classe regina, la 500, con la Honda del Team Pileri. Ma Loris, determinato come al solito, dimostra il suo talento, qualificandosi in prima fila al suo secondo GP in 500. Conquista la prima <b>...</b>
