"Little Red Rooster" is a classic blues song that has been recorded countless times. Howlin' Wolf recorded "The Red Rooster" in 1961, a song credited to blues arranger and songwriter Willie Dixon, although earlier songs have been cited as inspiration. A variety of performers have interpreted it, including Sam Cooke and The Rolling Stones, who had important record chart successes with the song. Howlin' Wolf's "The Red Rooster/Little Red Rooster" has been acknowledged by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Howling coyottes, barking dogs. Smashing performance of Magda, her unusual vocal qualities, funny play with the audience and the arrangement. Great sax of Arek Osenkowski. I love this version! Live in Germany. March 24, 2006, Jazzclub Armer Konrad Weinstadt-Beutelsbach, Germany. Magda Piskorczyk (Blues Vocalist of the Year 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2009 in Poland) with her band. Song composed by Chester Arthur Burnett (Howling Wolf) & Willie Dixon. ---------------------------- Video prepared by Magda Piskorczyk Media www.magdapiskorczyk.com www.myspace.com/magdapiskorczyk ---------------------------- "Die Bluessängerin Magda Piskorczyk aus Polen mit einer riesen Stimme, die man nicht vergisst" [Ola Siemieniuk, Arek Osenkowski, Roman Ziobro, Maksymilian Ziobro // wyjątkowy wokal, głos, śpiew, wokalistka wyjące kojoty, wilki, szczekające psy, kury, koguty, zabawne, cocks, hens]

Recorded on Chess label. There is also other versions in YouTube, but I think they are all worth of listening and many times. Howlin' really is one of the greatest artists the blues ever produced, he was a musical giant in every way. Ihope owners of the rights want to see this as an honor to this artist, which it really is. And same goes to these random photos and paintings, which I have found from net. The iconic photos of Wolf howling with guitar at 1:03 and 1:10 are used with kindly permission by Sandy Guy Schoenfeld , please visit www.howlingwolfphotos.com My hope is that everyone can just listen to this fine musician. Enjoy! Its so nice, that you can still buy these recordings on CD !

Blues prodigy Lucky Peterson toured Australia for my company in 1990. He was backed by the sensational Mighty Reapers. Recorded here Live on the Sunday Show. The mighty reapers formed from the ashes of the Dynamic Hepnotics, who broke up after their smash hit of 1984-85 Soul Kind Of Feeling. The Mighty Reapers consist of Continental Robert Susz on vocals and harmonica, Dave Brewer on Guitar and Vocals, Vito Portolesi on bass, Antero Cescin on Drums and Clayton Doley on Hammond Organ.
