Jorge Ormeño (born June 14, 1977 in Viña del Mar, Chile) is a Chilean Midfielder, who plays for Universidad Católica in Chile. A hard working defensive midfielder, he started his career in Santiago Wanderers and was given his debut in 1997 aged 19. In 2004 he arrived at Universidad Católica, where he has been a key part of the team since then, winning the Clausura 2005 and being a semifinalist in the Copa Sudamericana, where they lost to Boca Juniors (that year's champion) 3-2 in aggregate.

The club which saw him was born Santiago Wanderers of Valparaiso, with whom he won the championship in 2001. After spectacular performances with the Caturra, and after several attempts to move in the UC, finally achieves end up in 2004, obtaining a year following the Closing Tournament. In the Catholic University Sports Club holds indisputable.
