John S. Barnes, Jr. is a Republican member of the New Hampshire Senate, representing the 17th District since 2000. Previously he was in the Senate from 1992 through 1998, and was a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 1988 until 1992.

He won (without opposition) the New Hampshire primary for Vice President of the United States in 2008.

These are the final minutes of the DALLAS Season 10 (1986-87) Cliffhanger "Fall Of The House Of Ewing", the episode in which longtime cast member Susan Howard and original cast member Victoria Principal depart the series. After JR's involvement with mercenary BD Calhoun has cost the family Ewing Oil, Jeremy Wendell, the head of Westar Oil (and JR's arch-nemesis, next to Cliff Barnes) gloats not only that he is now the owner of the Ewing Oil building, but that he sent the Justice Department after the Ewings. JR threatens revenge on Wendell, as well as his life when he attempts to remove the oil painting of JR's father Jock Ewing. JR removes the photo himself and shows to his young son John Ross that Jock Ewing is Ewing Oil, and they leave. Meanwhile, after being nearly scared off the road by some drunken hooligans, Pamela happy calls Bobby from his car after he doctor's appointment to relay that she can now carry a baby to full term (something she has never been able to do). Bobby tells her to hurry home so they can "work" on it. Pamela hangs up and screams as she crashes into an oil tanker, engulfing both vehicles in flames.
