The Boyzguru breaks down the 2005 draft. From top to bottom, a stellar draft. Perhaps the greatest since 1989 that yielded Aikman,Moose,Tolbert,Wisniewski(traded) and Stepnoski. Dallas lands the NFLs top pass rusher, 2 34 defensive ends in Canty and Spears, a nickel linebacker who was very highly rated in Burnett, an undersized DT who turns into a Pro Bowler in Jay Ratliff, and a Pro Bowl running back who is the NFLs best finisher in The Barberian. We only missed on Justin Beriault and Rob Pettiti in rounds 6 and 7. Believe it or not, Rayliff was our 2nd 7th rounder. The core of our D was built in one draft which goes to show, do not trade your picks. All of these guys made impacts early in their careers. Will we build upon this class in 2006?
