Irwan Jamil is a Malaysian footballer born in Tawau, Sabah who plays as a goalkeeper for Sabah FA in Malaysia Premier League.

Irwan was trained by former Malaysia top goalkeeper in the 90s Khairul Azman Mohamed. He made his senior debut during the 2007/08 Malaysia Premier League after the first choice goalkeeper G. Jeevanthan received an injury. He also helped Sabah to reach semi final during the 2007 Malaysia Cup.

For 2007/08 season, he was the first choice goalkeeper for Sabah as he helped the team to finish fourth in the league. His performance during the 2008 Malaysia Cup was frustrated as he failed to keep any clean sheets in all Malaysia Cup matches and conceded 25 goals.

Irwan also represented the Malaysia under-20 squad for the 2006 AFC Youth Championship under coach K. Rajagopal. At first, he was selected as the first choice after Amini Ahmad Tabarani failed to recover from injury but reserve goalkeeper Abdul Hadi Abdul Hamid took his place as the first choice.
