Indiana is a borough in and the county seat of Indiana County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 14,895 at the 2000 census.

The borough and the region as a whole promotes itself as the "Christmas Tree Capital of the World" because the national Christmas Tree Grower's Association was founded there. There are still a large number of Christmas tree farms in the area. The largest employer in the borough today is Indiana University of Pennsylvania, the largest of 14 PASSHE schools in the state.

Also Check out www.stuffthatsgone.com The 1907 Alignment of the Pennsylvania Railroad running through Indiana and Westmoreland Counties featured 4 beautiful stone arch bridges prior to going through a tunnel. In 1950 the Conemaugh dam was constructed to hold back flood waters that buried Pittsburgh in 1936. As a result this alignment had to be raised and moved to the south. The West Penn Bike trail was constructed a few years ago and when the flood waters are not over the top of the bridges you can enjoy a short but very visual ride. With the missing link bridge being finished later this year this trail will be able to travel for several more miles east. This section can be accessed from several points of US 22 East. I followed this guy for around 10 miles before he turned off, he kept sticking his head out this window because his wipers didnt work. He passed up numerous auto shops and never decided to stop and get his windshield wipers fixed. He almost crashed about 8 times. (I know, videotaping while driving isn't safe either).
