MAP IS I-131 ...AUSTRIAN REPORT: Radioactive Iodine and Cesium 137 Confirmed in quotes from report. Link Included: WHO IS GOING TO TEST THE OCEAN CURRENTS?! OK this is for 3-days. So it could well surpass Chernobyl by now in TOTAL amount of I-131 & C-137 Released. WHY they don't cycle the map to current dates is beyond me. "The estimated source terms for I-131 is very constant, @ 1,3 1017 Bq/Tag for the first two days (USA measurements) and 1,2 1017 Bq/Tag for the third day (Japan). For Cesium-137 the USA measurements let close on a source term of 5 1015 Bq, while in Japan very many more cesium in air was. On this day the source term with approximately 4 1016 Bq would be measured. With the reactor disaster of Chernobyl the entire source term of I-131 was 1,76 1018 Bq, that from Cesium-137 8,5 1016 Bq. The source terms measured for Fukushima are thereby with 20% of the Chernobyl term for Iodine, and 20-60% of the Chernobyl term for Cesium." babelfish.yahoo.com
