Iain William Anderson (born 23 July 1977 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder in England, France and his native Scotland. He notably played for Preston North End and Dundee as well as appearing for Toulouse, Tranmere Rovers, Grimsby Town, St Mirren, Ross County, Ayr United, Elgin City and Clydebank in a career that lasted from 1996 until 2009. He has been capped over 20 times by Scotland at U-21 level and is renowned for his pace and close control when cutting inside from the left-flank. He has been a scorer of spectacular goals throughout his career but has also struggled with motivation and fitness.
