Haskell County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. In 2000, its population was 6,093. It is named for Charles Ready Haskell, who was killed in the Goliad massacre. The seat of the county is Haskell. It is the home county of the current Governor of Texas, James Richard "Rick" Perry.
