Gentry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. As of 2000, the population was 6,861. Its county seat is Albany. The county was organized in 1845 and is named after Col. Richard Gentry of Boone County, Missouri, who fell in the Seminole War in 1837.

On March 5, 2010, a jury awarded 7 neighboring farmers $11 million in damages from Premium Standard Farms over odors emanating from an hog farm of 4300 acre (17.4 km2) that processes 200,000 hogs near Berlin in Gentry County -- the largest such award in history.
