GMG Airlines is a private airline of Bangladesh with its head office in the AAA Tower in Nikunjo-2 Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is Bangladesh's largest and oldest private airline operating domestic, regional, and international services, upholding the image of Bangladesh to the world. Its main bases are Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, and Shah Amanat International Airport, Chittagong. On 17 June 2009, Beximco Group bought a stake in GMG Airlines and has injected cash in the airline.

Besides having to wait in a disgustingly filthy, smoke-filled transit lounge, in an airport that reeked of diesel fuel and paint fumes, we also were issued boarding passes only through to Dhaka. After seven hours of waiting, two officials of the airlines appeared with stacks of boarding passes and began yelling out names. Rather than wait until their names were called, passengers rushed to the counter en masse, pushing and shoving in one seething ball, each person trying to get to the front of the crowd. The video was taken after more than half of the passes had been retrieved so it doesn't show the worst of the craziness, but it shows enough to discourage folks from flying GMG through Bangladesh.
