Fulton County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its county seat is Atlanta, the state capital since 1868 and the principal county of the Atlanta metropolitan area. At the 2010 United States Census, the population was 920,581; however Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed suspects significant undercounting in the City of Atlanta, which implies similar concerns for Fulton County as a whole the 2009 estimate of the county's population was 1,020,014, 10.8% higher than the 2010 census results.

Fulton County is one of the five core counties of the Atlanta metropolitan area and the most populous county in the U.S. state of Georgia.

Fulton County Georgia Video

This video follows I-85 in Metro Atlanta from Pleasantdale Rd. (Exit 96) in northeast DeKalb County to North Ave. (Exit 249D) in Downtown Atlanta near Georgia Tech on the Downtown Connector with I-75. In this video you'll see one of the largest stack interchanges and one of the largest, most congested roads in the southeast. Once known primarily for its handsome homes on large plots of lush green land, this city has transformed itself into a gusty metropolis. It has a dizzying assortment of nightclubs, blues bars, cafes, shops, and restaurants ranging from teahouses to palaces of culinary art that regularly make "best in the nation" lists. Every Fortune 500 firm is represented here and Atlanta has pushed its population close to 6 million people as of 2009 estimates (the city proper is almost 500000), swelling both inside the perimeter and its suburbs with scientists, high-tech workers, and creative types lured by the energy of a city on the move. This is the center of the New South, but with gusto!

This video was edited together by me with love, not just to share the mourning of our family and friends, but also to celebrate the life and journey of my brother, Mike, who was loved by so many. It seems that so many families and friends never get together enough, and only come together when a loved one has passed. It's sad when it takes the loss of someone we love to bring us all together, but that seems to be the way it is in life, when maybe we should all get together before it's too late. Not only when it's time to say goodbye. I'm sure some may have wondered why I was shooting video that day, and most never knew that I was a broadcast professional and that it was what I did for a living, maybe even thinking that I was feeling no pain, but that's not true. I loved my brother very much, and that's why I did this tribute to him. Even in that time of sadness and loss for me, I felt I had to set aside my pain for a few minutes to capture what I knew could be a way for me to honor my brother's life here on earth, and that if I didn't capture the family and friends who were there to honor and pay their respects to Mike, who would? I was that guy! Creating magic through video and audio has been my passion in life for about 26 years now, and it's something I love, and is what I do best. If not for me, these moments in life that can be very sad can also be a time to reflect on the love and life of someone very special and dear to us all. I hope I was able to capture a time in ...

This video follows a major Atlanta roadway -- Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (MLK). MLK's western end is at the Chattahoochee River, which acts as the Cobb-Fulton County border; its eastern end is at the entrance to Historic Oakland Cemetery. From I-20 exit 53 to the Chattahoochee River, MLK Jr. Drive is Georgia State Route 139. State Route 139 continues westward across the 'Hooch as Mableton Parkway, to its terminus at US 78/278/SR 8 (Veterans Memorial Highway SW) in Mableton, Georgia. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive passes through the heart of Downtown Atlanta, providing access to the Georgia State Capitol, the old World of Coca-Cola, Underground Atlanta, the Fulton County Courthouse, and the Richard B. Russell Federal Building. Access is also provided to Philips Arena, the Georgia Dome, the Atlanta University Center, and the Fulton County Airport at Charlie Brown Field.

This video follows US 29 northbound from the north end of SR 279/Herschel Road, through Downtown College Park and Downtown East Point, to just south of SR 166/Langford Parkway and the East Point-Atlanta city limit line. A little tidbit: The Atlanta Airport is in the City of College Park, the City of East Point, and portions of unincorporated Clayton and Fulton counties, seven miles south of Downtown Atlanta. The Airport is patrolled by the Atlanta Police Department, while those who are accused of crimes on the Airport grounds are transported to the Clayton County Jail.

This is a video of me riding on MARTA, which is an acronym for Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. MARTA serves mostly Fulton and DeKalb counties, excepting a rail station (Airport - S7) in Clayton County, serving Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and C-Tran, and one bus route (Route 12 - Howell Mill/Cumberland) that provides access to Cumberland Mall in Cobb County. MARTA's not funded by the state -- it's funded by a 1% sales tax from Fulton and DeKalb counties. Because of this lack of state funding, MARTA General Manager and CEO, Dr. Beverly A. Scott, was talking about cutting some of the authority's service, by consolidating some bus routes and cutting back rail service hours (ie, going to a six day service week, for rail and buses). This video gives y'all a tour of Douglasville, Georgia, which is 22 miles west of Downtown Atlanta. It's the county seat of and one of the two incorporated areas in Douglas County, Villa Rica being the other (a portion of the "City of Gold" extends into Carroll County). Lithia Springs, located near the intersection of Bankhead Highway and Thornton Road, was incorporated up until 2001, when the city de-incorporated, letting the county take over its services.

Here's some ice/snow action from the City of College Park. This city of about 20382 people is home to Georgia's second largest convention center (Georgia International Convention Center); the "World's Busiest Airport" (portions of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport were taken from College Park, East Point, Hapeville, and unincorporated Clayton and Fulton counties); and several buildings/places which are on the US National Register of Historic Places.
