East Japan Railway Company Video

The "E2-1000 series Shinkansen" is a flagship bullet train of JR-East (East Japan Railway Company) in Japan since 2003. An E2-1000 Series train broke the Japanese rail speed record for a production train (ie not a dedicated test train) in April 2003 when it reached a speed of 362 kph (225 mph). "Hayate bullet train service" in this video is also using "E2-1000 series Shinkansen", and coupled to 10 cars, and runs at a top speed of 275 kph (171 mph) on "Tohoku Shinkansen line", except for a couple of restricted sections. ("Hayate (ja:ã¯ãã¦)" is meaning "a gust of wind pass through" in English.) This place is about 3 miles northerly from Koriyama-station. (mid-area in Prefecture Fukushima) Koriyama-station is located at the foot of landmark-building (will find "sphere theater" in upper section). This Hayate pass through about 201 kph (125 mph) at this point. BTW... JR-East is testing and testing next-generation Shinkansen since 2005. The prototype train(s) "FASTECH 360 (E954 and E955 model)" for operation at 360 kph (224 mph). Unofficial speed record is 399 kph (248 mph) in Feb 2006. Please try to the following link if you want to more information about FASTECH. www.google.com

www.vancesova.com Japanese railways are operated by private companies which are many. JR Kyoto Line between Kyoto and Osaka belongs to the East Japan Railway Company. JR Kyoto Line train ride between Takatsuki and Shimamoto is shown in this video. East Japan Railway Company is the biggest one of the former state company Japan National Railway which was privatized in 1987 after being divided into 7 regional parts. But there are other private railway companies in Japan besides the 7, like the Hankyu and the Keihan companies. The 7 companies that were formed from the state owned company all have Japan Railway Company in their name with the name of the region in front of it. Enjoy the ride.
