Dublin Bus ( -gabˠʊsˠ ˈaːhə ˈclʲiə) is a public transport operator in Ireland. It operates an extensive bus network of 172 radial, cross-city and peripheral routes and 18 night routes in the city of Dublin and the Greater Dublin Area. The company, established in 1987, is a subsidiary of Córas Iompair Éireann which is owned by the Government of Ireland. Dublin Bus operates the vast majority of bus services in Dublin but in recent years an increasing number of other bus companies have received licences to operate in Dublin from the Department of Transport.

Dublin Bus Video

The scene shortly after up to 26 people were injured, three seriously, when a Luas tram collided with a bus at the junction of Abbey Street and OConnell Street in Dublin City center on the 16th of September just after 3pm. The Luas driver and two female bus passengers are understood to have been seriously hurt in the collision and had to be cut out of the wreckage by members of Dublin Fire Brigade. Both the Dublin Bus and Luas company have begun investigations into the crash. Update From the Irish Times A Dublin Bus driver, who did not wish to be named, said: "It's really hard to believe that it happened, because the Luas was stopped. And then it started again and hit the bus, and they had to cut out passengers because it hit so hard." Alan Hunter, a local businessman, had been smoking outside Clerys when the crash happened. He said he did not see the impact, but had seen several pedestrians crossing in front of the bus just before the crash. "What seemed to happen was that the bus had to brake in the middle of the junction because there were pedestrians running out in front of him. That happens all the time, particularly on O'Connell Street. Members of the public won't wait for the lights to cross, and just walk out. It was a tragedy waiting to happen." Another man who didn't wish to be named said the bus had been stopped at a red light before the Luas junction, but moved forward into the junction to allow a Garda car to pass. Gardaí said they could not confirm any of ...

So, this junkie decided to get onto the Nitelink at 2am and not pay her fare, and after being confronted by the driver the screaming started and the police eventually came! Haha - enjoy! Funniest thing I've ever seen... never mind filmed! NB. Several people offered to pay her fare, and got lashed out at / spat at - for all the assholes preaching about that. *Sorry about it being backwards for the first part, my phone is weird!*

Dublin's roads were iced up today after heavy snow fell on roads just before rush hour. The last 39a bus out of town before Dublin Bus suspended services got stuck on Manor Street. It couldn't get enough traction to get up the slight incline, and had to be abandoned. Fair play to the driver who spent about 30 minutes trying to get us up that hill.

Today on my bus to school, I saw this through the window. Some of the video looks a bit blurry, I forgot to wipe the window. The roof of the bus can be seen behind it. RTE News Page: www.rte.ie This happened on Amiens Street near the Five Lamps. Apparently the bus crashed into a tree around 08:00 ( I made this video at around 08:20) and the roof was ripped off . There were 10 passengers on board but they were all seated downstairs so nobody was hurt. The driver was later treated in hospital for shock. I think the tree in the background (beside the roof) was the one the bus crashed into.
