Dolgellau (-cydɔlˈɡɛɬaɨ, occasionally -cydɔlˈɡɛɬi) is a market town in Gwynedd, north-west Wales, lying on the River Wnion, a tributary of the River Mawddach. It was the county town of the former county of Merionethshire ( ).
