Delaware County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa. It was named in honor of Delaware Senator John M. Clayton, who also has another Iowa county, Clayton County, named in his honor. The population was 17,764 in the 2010 census, a decline from 18,404 in the 2000 census. The county seat is Manchester.
