The Cannes International Film Festival (French: 'Le Festival International du Film de Cannes' or just 'Festival de Cannes'), founded in 1946, is the most prestigious film festival in the world. The private festival is held annually (usually in May) at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, in the resort town of Cannes, in the south of France. The 64th edition took place from 11 to 22 May 2011. The President of the Jury was the American actor Robert De Niro. |
