Yes I take back some of the criticism I leveled here and there on the web. You see, I had almost forgot Kelly was a journalist after years of watching his heart bleed as CBC television's answer to Stuart Mclean. But that doesn't mean the show is perfect. It doesn't mean the show hasn't been compromised. Connect is full of YouTube videos, reminding me of the worst of CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 with Erica Hill. www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com Here's Erica Hill almost being a real journalist, doling out serious headlines in a professional way. Then comes the Burger King bath story. It may seem silly to post this video to YouTube criticizing the use of YouTube in the media. But it isn't. Consider all the great content YouTube and other online video groups provide. TED talks, Fora.tv, great videos on Vimeo. There is wonderful content online, but the CBC chooses to show ridiculous things off YouTube and TMZ. Don't get me wrong, I love ridiculous things.
