Bury St Edmunds is a market town in the county of Suffolk, England and formerly the county town of West Suffolk. It is the main town in the borough of St Edmundsbury and known for the ruined abbey near the town centre. Bury is the seat of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, with the episcopal see at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

The town originally called Beodericsworth, is known for brewing and malting (with the large Greene King brewery) and for a British Sugar processing factory. Many large and small businesses are located in Bury, which traditionally has given Bury an affluent economy with low unemployment, with the town being the main cultural and retail centre for West Suffolk. Tourism is also a major part of the economy, plus local government.

It is in the Bury St Edmunds parliamentary constituency and is represented in Parliament by David Ruffley.

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel (Advent carol) Performed by the Choir of Clare College, Cambridge Timothy Brown, conductor Jonathan Brown, organ Filmed at St. Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St. Edmunds, England www.hymnsandcarolsofchristmas.com en.wikipedia.org www.clare.cam.ac.uk www.facebook.com twitter.com www.bach-cantatas.com www.stedscathedral.co.uk www.brilliantclassics.com O come, O come, Emmanuel! Redeem thy captive Israel That into exile drear is gone, Far from the face of God's dear Son. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, thou Branch of Jesse! draw The quarry from the lion's claw; From the dread caverns of the grave, From nether hell, thy people save. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, O come, thou Dayspring bright! Pour on our souls thy healing light; Dispel the long night's lingering gloom, And pierce the shadows of the tomb. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O Come, thou Lord of David's Key! The royal door fling wide and free; Safeguard for us the heavenward road, And bar the way to death's abode. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel. O come, O come, Adonai, Who in thy glorious majesty From that high mountain clothed in awe, Gavest thy folk the elder Law. Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel Shall come to thee, O Israel.

A Suffolk Constabulary Traffic Police Motorcycle in Bury St Edmunds, there was two of them but only one was infront of us. This Police Bike is an older model see the size of it and the light stalk the newer versions have a Xenon light bar mounted on a pole the same as this but have a much lighter slender looking frame and thinner different lightbar i saw this one in Bury this is the old model i saw the new model in Cambridge but this is old model. And also i was looking at a good site called Emergency Vehicles UK a must for anyone into this sort of stuff and i was looking at a picture of two unmarked scramblers with police in luminous jackets on so the amount of different types of police bikes about is hard to tell.

Trunchonbury must be Norfolks answer to Glastonbury music festival, it took place in Trunch to raise money for Cancer research. It was a great success and featured bands from across East Anglia. Highlights included Glory Glory a two piece boy girl Indie Punk Feist band from Norwich and Bury St Edmunds.. Band Members Panos - guitar/vox Shannon - drums/vox Glory Glory Reviews Glory Glory, a boy/girl two-piece, were a revelation duelling with some really electrifying guitar and drum work whilst batting lyrics back and forth like a Murray/Nadal rally.' - Maddog Magazine. Raw, punktastic and gagging for it, as seen supporting Cage The Elephant @ UEA: one of East Anglia's brightest hopes' - Wombat Wombat As refreshing as a thaw after weeks of snow-enforced cabin fever, Glory Glory are a band to brush away any post Christmas blues. Hidden within the unprepossessing grooves of this 2 track CD are some of the finest girl-boy shouty sweary punk tunes you'll hear....With exuberance, joy and beauty as well as some insane individuality. Who'd have thought 2 people could make such a joyful, catchy, refreshing racket' - Rosey - Repeat GLORY GLORY - My favourite local boy/girl duo Glory Glory excite us this week on LAOSS, nice acronym, with their bangy, angular indie-pop. This video was taken at Bury Bowl in Bury St. Edmunds, UK. I hadn't been bowling since my spinal cord injury until shortly before this video was taken. Since then my score has improved and I managed to get 100 in my last game before leaving the UK! It's easier to line myself up in the right position on this lane because it is close to a wall and I line myself up by listening to the sounds around me. I've been blind since birth.
