As Tears Go By ... by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in 1965. This was one of the first songs written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards. The Stones manager, Andrew Oldham, gave it to a singer he also managed named Marianne Faithfull, who released it in 1964. It was going to be the B-side of her first single, but the record company decided to make it the A-side and it became her first hit. The Stones recorded it a year later. Faithfull became Mick Jagger's girlfriend in 1966. Their tumultuous relationship ended 3 years later. In that time, she helped write "Sister Morphine" and gave Jagger the book that inspired "Sympathy For The Devil." In a 1992 interview with Guitar Player magazine, Keith Richards said: "suddenly, 'Oh, we're songwriters,' with the most totally anti-Stones sort of song you could think of at the time, while we're trying to make a good version of (Muddy Waters') 'Still A Fool.' When you start writing, it doesn't matter where the first one comes from. You've got to start somewhere, right? So Andrew locked Mick and myself into a kitchen in this horrible little apartment we had. He said, 'You ain't comin' out,' and there was no way out. We were in the kitchen with some food and a couple of guitars, but we couldn't get to the john, so we had to come out with a song. In his own little way, that's where Andrew made his great contribution to the Stones. That was such a flatulent idea, a fart of an idea, that suddenly you're gonna lock two guys in a room, and they <b>...</b>

Please check your video title - it is too long. (the old days) (now it tells me) THE LAST TIME Rolling Stones Songbook UPDATE Late in his career, Klein agreed to license a sample of a Rolling Stones song to the British group the Verve for their hit single "Bittersweet Symphony." But after the song was released, ABKCO successfully argued in court that the Verve had used too much of the sample and won 100 percent of the song's royalties. en.wikipedia.org On their song "Bittersweet Symphony," the British rock group The Verve sampled an orchestration from The Rolling Stones' "The Last Time," the rights to which are owned by Klein's ABKCO Industries. Before the release of the album, The Verve negotiated a licensing agreement with Klein, who administered The Stones' catalogue, to use the sample (or at least the compositional rights to the sample). In 1997, The Verve's album Urban Hymns peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard charts. A bitter legal battle ensued, resulting in The Verve turning over 100% of the royalties to ABKCO. Klein argued that The Verve had violated the previous licensing agreement by using too much of the sample in their song. Capitalizing off the success of the song, Klein licensed The Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" to Nike, who proceeded to run a multi-million dollar television campaign using The Verve's song over shots of its sneakers. Klein also allowed the song to be used in advertisements for Vauxhall automobiles. (Additionally, though the song was authored <b>...</b>

The Stones manager, Andrew Oldham, gave it to a singer he also managed named Marianne Faithfull, who released it in 1964. It was going to be the B-side of her first single, but the record company decided to make it the A-side and it became her first hit. The Stones recorded it a year later. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 in America the week ending November 28, 1964, where it stayed for nine weeks peaking at 22. As Tears Go By lyrics It is the evening of the day, I sit and watch the children play. Smiling faces I can see, but not for me, I sit and watch as tears go by. My riches can't buy ev'rything, I want to hear the children sing. All I hear is the sound of rain falling on the ground, I sit and watch as tears go by. It is the evening of the day, I sit and watch the children play. Doin' things I used to do they think are new. I sit and watch as tears go by.

"As Tears Go By" is a song written by The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards, and their manager Andrew Loog Oldham, and was a popular hit for both British singer Marianne Faithfull in 1964 and The Rolling Stones in 1965 - remastered in sound and picture ! Lyrics: It is the evening of the day I sit and watch the children play smiling faces I can see but not for me I sit and watch as tears go by My richness can't buy everything I want to hear the children sing all I hear is the sound of rain falling on the ground I sit and watch as tears go by It is the evening of the day I sit and watch the children play doing things I used to do they think of you I sit and watch as tears go by Songtext: Es geht der Tag zur Neige, Kinder spielen und ich schweige.

there are no samples in this recording only truth. alan klein was a fat greedy pig.that's a fucking fact.he was ugly to look at and evil too.what he did to the verve was a fucking shame.he had nothing to do with brian jones's ideas and the piece of music they sampled.the verve was stupid to mention the sample.this version however is not a sample, its a pocket orchestra i created.it took me two hours to record and mix... FUCK YOU ALAN KLEIN - I HOPE THE DEMONS ARE FEASTING ON YOUR FAT CARCUS IN HELL.

The Rolling Stones- Satisfaction I DO NOT OWN THIS SONG (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction is a hit riff-driven rock song written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for The Rolling Stones and produced by Andrew Loog Oldham. Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song as number 2 on its 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, while VH1 placed it at number 1 on its "100 Greatest Songs of Rock & Roll" list. In 2006 it was added to the Library of Congress National Recording Registry. The song was first released as a single in the United States in June 1965 and was also featured on the American version of the Rolling Stones album Out of Our Heads, released in July of the same year. "Satisfaction" was a smash hit, giving the Stones their first number one in the United States. In Europe, the song initially played only on pirate radio stations because its lyrics were considered too sexually suggestive. In Britain the single was released in August 1965, and shot to number one in the United Kingdom; it was the Rolling Stones' fourth UK number one. (The British version of Out of Our Heads, released in September 1965, did not feature "Satisfaction"; it was not standard practice in the United Kingdom at that time to include previously-released singles on albums.)
