Ryan Seacrest continued to host the show with Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson returning as judges. David Cook was announced the winner of the competition on May 21, 2008, defeating runner-up David Archuleta by a margin of roughly 12 million votes out of over 97 million, which was at that time the highest recorded vote total ever recorded in the show's history. The split was 56 percent to 44 percent.

bit.ly Get full episodes - Click Link Above Season 6 Episode 7 - Vegas Callbacks #1 The first round of callbacks in Las Vegas So You Think You Can Dance" Las Vegas Callbacks After touring the country and picking up talent from the north, south, east and west, the sixth season of "So You Think You Can Dance" finally settled in Las Vegas for the second round of the competition. A bunch of judges and choreographers were on hand as 152 hopefuls tried to prove themselves for a spot among the final 20 dancers. Mia Michaels, Debbie Allen, Tyce DiOrio, and Adam Shankman joined Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe for the big round. The first part of the process had each dancer take the stage alone in front of the judges. Nathan Trasoras, 18, was the first dancer we saw. The judges actually saw him last season, but he was too young for the competition, so Nigel gave him a ticket for this season. Contemporary dancer Ellenore Scott put on a memorable display that mixed technique with a bit of comedy and had the judges applauding. After the first 10 solos, the judges compared notes and sent two dancers home immediately.

bit.ly American Idol Season 9 Episode 4 Orlando Auditions 2010 Orlando auditions = totally underwhelming. The only audition worth mentioning is reformed juvenile delinquent, Matthew Lawrence and his pure, undistilled take on Ray LaMontagnes Trouble. Well, Ok, R&B singer, Jermaine Purifoy was pretty good too. And that trio of girl singers we caught a glimpse ofJanell Wheeler, Brittany Star James and Kasi Bedford left me wanting to hear more. But everyone else? Meh. I mean if you take away the singers backstories tonight, you were pretty much left with nothing. It twas a shame that guest judge Kristin Chenoweth could only judge the first day of the auditions. Like Shania in last nights Chicago auditions, her critiques were specific and helpful. Plus, she is hella funny. I cant say that I miss Paula Abdul, but there is a noticeably different tone at the judges table. Kara still hasnt quite found her place on the panel, and the lack of chemistry between the judges is really apparent with Paula out of the picture. Next week, its on to LA. With Hollywood Week finished, and the Top 24 chosen, I wonder if the remaining episodes will be edited to contain more contestant pimping? The very last episode before the Hollywood Rounds looks to be some sort of best of episode.
