Ambati Thirupathi Rayudu (born September 23, 1985 in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh), is an Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. He was banned from Indian cricket due to his signing with the rebel ICL. Subsequently Rayudu left the ICL and, following an amnesty offer from BCCI, returned to Indian domestic cricket.
Rayudu is a middle order batsman. He was once known to be a potential for the Indian national team due to his excellent batting skills. Rayudu was selected to represent the India Under-19 cricket team in the 2002 tour of England. In the third One Day International he scored 177, helping his side to overhaul England's total of 305. In an earlier match he had performed a similar role when his 80 laid the foundation for a victorious run-chase as the Indians defeated their English counterparts 3-0 in the ODI series. In the 2004/2005 three-test series against England Under-19, he scored three consecutive half-centuries. Rayudu captained the India Under-19 team in the 2003/2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He was also a regular in the India A squad. He completed his schooling from Bhavan's Sri Rama Krishna Vidyalaya.
