Adams County is a rural county located in the state of Idaho. As of the 2000 Census the county had a population of 3,476 (2008 estimate: 3,499)

The county seat and largest city is Council.

Adams County was established in 1911 and was named in honor of President John Adams. Adams County is home to the Brundage Mountain ski area, northeast of New Meadows, and the Idaho ground squirrel.
